Lift Off Episode 1 – Martin Winiecki

For the first episode, our guest was Martin Winiecki. Activist, networker and writer, Martin lives and works at the Tamera Peace Research & Education Center in Portugal. Project Coordinator at the Institute for Global Peace Work, he notably organizes the international activist gathering “Defend the Sacred.”

“Holding the ego at check and creating trust in a community is learning how to give feedback to one another in a way that actually serves solidarity. If you look into living systems in nature and its complex interdependent systems, they rely on the ability to truthfully feedback one another. And this is a quality that we have and that we have lost in those anonymous mass societies that we live in this industrial age. Learning that again creates a very basic layer of being at home again among human beings.”

Lift Off is a series of dialogues, hosted from Michelberger’s courtyard in Berlin. We engage in discussions with people who offer an outlook, a way forward, by example and by knowledge. People who are reflective, confident and clear. Who are ready, have practices, ideas and solutions, ready to shape what comes next.
