Erik Penny’s Sofa Session #3
Erik Penny’s Sofa Sessions return for their 3rd instalment, appropriately on
03.03.24! Spring will be just starting to show her face, and the Michelberger Lobby
and bar will once again provide the perfect setting (as well as plentiful drinks and
bar snacks!).
Erik will perform a solo set of his newest and oldest songs, spanning his 20+ years
as a solo artist, drawing from his catalog of 6 albums, multiple EPs, and countless
singles and collaborations. His work has been featured on German TV and films
such as “Goethe!” and “Danny Lowinski”, and he has shared the stage with Milow,
Madsen, and the legendary Joe Cocker, among many others.
Erik will be joined by the wonderful Hanna Leess: a distinct voice in music – a self-
taught singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist with an eclectic track record.
She has opened for the likes of Damien Rice and Jose Gonzales, and her
soundtracks are heard in League of Legends and Grey’s Anatomy. Post a reflective
four-year break for motherhood, she returns with ‘Innocent as a Rose,’ a serene yet
profound exploration of identity and the nuanced challenges faced by creative
women.
Hanna will join the Sofa Sessions as Erik Penny’s special guest, and the only
