Cheese & Beer

The first weekend of November will see Berlin go a little bit Käse crazy, with the Cheese Berlin festival happening at Markthalle Neun. On Friday 2nd, Die Käsenacht (The Cheese Night) takes place, with restaurants, bars and pubs throughout the city joining together with celebrated cheese makers.

We’ll be taking part and presenting the wares of two Irish cheesemakers, Mike Thomson of MFC and Tom Cropp of Corleggy Cheese. Both men create exquisite raw milk cheeses which we’ll be serving throughout the evening in our bar. Mike and Tom will also join us between 6 pm and 8 pm to chat about their cheese and answer any questions. (We will soon only be serving Irish raw milk cheeses on our dinner menu in the restaurant, so this feels like a good match with these two gentlemen!)

To accompany the cheeses and snacks, we’ll be serving a special selection of extraordinary cheese-complimenting beers from Berliner Berg. Daniel Copeman, from the brewery, will be joining us also from 6 pm to talk all things beer.

And musical accompaniment will come care of Emma K, (AKA White Lie), playing her best soul, jazz, disco and house records.
