Spanish Fire. An Email from Alex to everyone.

Hi Guys,

My name is Alex Montolio and as you maybe know I do work at the Reception from our MichelbergerHotel.

Today, the 2nd of April happened something that  no one from the Reception would like to pass through when you are just occupied  with:

– a constantly ringing phone
– coding the Ving Card for the next check in
– and the well known blond girl from the Guy Kedar Group is asking your for scissors

and in just THIS MOMENT the FIRE ALARM starts to ring or maybe I should say: the alarm explotes!

Since we made the fire alarm Schulung and Tom&Nadine started to point out how important is all this story, I always thought that I really should learn how to react in that specific moment but just TODAY I can tell you that I learnt the lesson 100%!

I always thought that it is a single PI PI PI PI sound  ,similar to a bird, and then you just press the button and everything is fine again! I was absolutely wrong!Leo,Leah,Marteen, Sabine, you cannot imagine my face today when the FeuerRedLight suddenly started to ring it. A horrorfied white face! Gerd is still laughting about me. Today I learnt something important for me:
– how to react!
– Don´t let the panic control you.  In case the alarm starts to ring,  go straight ahead with your walky, the General Card and the Fire KEYS to the Pannel, turn the key,  press ERKUNDIGUNG STARTEN and prepare to be more faster than EL COYOTE.
– Check, check and check…if it´s false alarm, comunicate whith the Walkie. As long as the colleague who is in the lobby, press the button Alarm AUS dann ZURÜCKSTELLEN, the problem is gone…..
– If it´s FEUER…….Ok…i won´t go deeper….

Guys it is important….since today my spanisch eggs-eier-cojones doesn t have the same size.
Take this personally and think always about it.We have to remind all in checkign guests that we are a no/smoking hotel.The fire alarm from today was caused by two guests smoking like hell in their rooms.
