We Were Invited to the Berlin Travel Festival
When our longtime friend and renowned travel enthusiast Bernd rang us up and asked if we would like to partake as featured guests in the Berlin Travel Festival in November 2022, it was met with a resounding yes. We realised that we had never, up til then, had so many projects alive and kicking in our little universe and that this would be a chance to share them in the ways we know and love best: by hosting and serving. Very early on, we came to the idea that we needed to make an analog place in space for people to gather and chat over coffee and food. So, our in-house designer Jan crafted a stunning 3m squared round wooden table with space for over 20 chairs. We created a program over three days to share and showcase who we are and what we offer and invited people to stop by and stay as long as they wanted. Nadine and Tom were invited to speak at Center Court, right next to our booth, on the subject of sustainability in hospitality and gave valuable and unique insight into their experience as trailblazers within the industry.
From morning til night, passersby enjoyed the various offerings of our constellation- from fresh baked sourdough and brioche from the Bakery paired with juicy strawberry jam from Michelberger Farm, a healthy lunch from MB Restaurant, to little Aperitivo hour Arancine from ORA and a full spirits tasting from MXPSM, to endless reserves of Fountain of Youth to a wine and cheese tasting from our friends at Urstromkaese, our favourite local cheesemongers. We were called the ‘beating heart of the festival’ and we were proud to share who we are, where we’ve come from and how we’re continuing to evolve. The jackets were such a hit that we got them as Christmas gifts for the entire team at the hotel, the farm, and ORA, with each jacket containing one letter of the word Michelberger- because it really does take a village. Stop by the hotel and you can find our people sporting these iconic blue and orange babies. Special thanks to Bernd Neff and the team at the BTF for inviting us to participate in such a humbling and memorable experience.
