The Luyas & Foundling Live

Around this time last year, Stefan Schneider was playing the drums in our courtyard alongside the wonderful Sarah Neufeld. You can see some photos from their dynamic performance here. Stefan got in touch recently to let us know he’ll be in town soon with his band The Luyas. They’ll be playing the only Berlin show of their European tour with us next Thursday, May 4th.

From Montreal, Quebec, The Luyas were formed in 2006. Staples of the Montreal indie scene, the band makes what can be loosely described as rock music – spirited and atmospheric rock music that is. In their own words, the band always makes priorities of curiosity and inventiveness in order to make something soulful and surprising.

Their friend, fellow Montrealer and Berlin denizen Erin Lang AKA Foundling will open the night for them. Foundling makes expansive soundscapes with lush vocals, deep bass and broad synths…it’s dream pop through a dark lens.

We’re looking forward to this Canadian double bill concert – hopefully in the courtyard if the weather is nice! From 7 pm next Thursday, May 4th. See you there!
