What’s Happened
Berlin Drop
This Saturday evening our friends from Drop Everything are doing a little showcase here at the hotel. Drop Everything is a contemporary cultural biennial which takes place on the remote island of Inis Oírr, just off the west coast of Ireland. It is a platform to bring together people working in and interested in the arts, music, fashion, food, architecture, design and other creative fields. One of the main aims is to create a space for artists to connect and collaborate. In their own words: Drop Everything is about getting excited by new ideas and taking the time to consider them. It’s for people who do and people who want to.
On Saturday they’ll host a mini version of Drop Everything at the Michelberger, with music, art, food and some special drinks. Some of Drop Everything’s Berlin-based participants and collaborators will feature, alongside some visiting Irish ones too.
Here’s what’s happening:
Music:
Fionn Regan – Fionn is a folk singer originally from Ireland, but now living in Berlin. You can read this blog story about how we got to know him. He was part of Michelberger Music too.

Evvol is the Berlin-based dark wave duo made up of Julie Chance from Ireland and Jon Dark from Australia. Their music has been described as arty electronica with an 80s feel… nocturnal, swirling and atmospheric..noir moodscapes you can dance to.
Alice is an irregular pop-up party from a collective of young Irish DJs.
Art + Wearables:
The Tweed Project (Ireland) x Starstyling (Berlin) collaboration
JP Coss – the architect and fashion designer will show his signature ‘Mantelet’s’
