Tiki Taka × That Fucking Sara

Tonight we’re having a night of hip-hop, trumpet and soul with a night organised by our friend That Fucking Sara.

She’ll be DJ’ing accompanied by The Domenica live on trumpet who is classically trained and has been playing since early childhood. Currently based in Berlin, she plays in several bands and works as a dentist in her free time. Or the other way around.

Fae Simon will be joining us too. Fae’s a singer-songwriter from London and has been touring Europe with Yarah Bravo & That Fucking Sara on the Good Girls Rarely Make History tour. Since then, she’s been making magic in the studio and is ready now to share some new material from her forthcoming project Outrospective. Following the success of Fae’s debut album Mellowdrama, we are looking forward to hearing familiar & fresh sounds from this multi-faceted vocalist. Take a listen to her Soundcloud.

Completing the line-up will be Neve Naive.

When Neve aka Miss Flint and Merse met in 2008 during a jam session, both were already fully equipped with tons of musical experience: Miss Flint made some noise as a singer (with the reggae band Jahcoustix and The Outsideplayers), as a background singer (for Laith Ladeen, Culcha Candela, Flomega etc). Merse is widely known for his trombone playing with the Jazzanova live band and The Ruffcats.

The chemistry between the two musicians was perfect straight away. Soon the original roles of who writes lyrics and who composing music blurred. Signed to the prestigious Berlin label Sonar Kollektiv, the duo make cranky, free-spirited, but still accessible pop music that absorbs extremely up-close and personal lyrics. A record is like a good friend telling you stories of their life and adventures. Whether it’s of a cheery, thoughtful or confident nature – the most important thing is honesty and sincerity. And this sincere and dedicated way of making music is on display when Neve and Merse perform. And there is a new band member, guitarist David Gärtner.
