An Ode to Spring, 6 hours long

Our bar regularly hosts our friends and family playing their favourite tunes. The soundtrack to friday and saturday nights is important and should get our guests in the mood for going out without spoiling the game of chess on the other table. For DJs it’s their chance to play the tunes they will most probably play rarely in a club and to build up a long set, slowly increasing the tension and telling a musical story. We decided to get a soundcloud account to be able to host some of the recordings from our lobby and the mixtapes our friends do for us. The soundtrack to our hotel.

Last saturday Ma Tias and Lukas, both part of the OneBeat Berlin artist collective (a music charity supporting musicians), had the chance to play and record one of those long sets.  They teamed up for a 6 hour back to back session and played a set ranging from soft rock, future beats, downtempo and hip hop to deep house and disco. A set filled with the old, the new and most of all, lots of positive vibes. An Ode to Spring as they say.
